WHEN: August 17th-20th, 2006
WHERE: Whispering Hope Ranch, near Payson, AZ is in a beautiful, peaceful setting with marvelous facilities. They also have rescued animals that we can visit. WHO: We invite stroke survivors with or without a care partner/family member to attend. Participants must be able to transfer to and from all surfaces independently or with the assistance of their caregiver, be independent in toileting and personal care (with caregiver), and be independent in mobility (with a caregiver).
HOW MUCH: $20 per participant (stroke survivor or care partner/family member) The twenty dollars is the complete fee for the whole weekend…it includes meals and cabin accommodations plus a stylish t-shirt. You will need to bring your own linens (including pillow) and towels
WHY: It is a great opportunity to come have fun, meet people, enjoy the cooler climate of the Mogollon Rim and reaffirm your talent and abilities to Learn and Live!
TRANSPORTATION: Chartered accessible busses will pick up participants at the American Heart Association parking lot on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM. (2929 S. 48th Street, Tempe, Arizona - 602-414-5353). Busses will bring you back to the Heart Association on Sunday. You may also drive yourselves (but the busses are pretty nice).
